Bound

Advanced society has developed time warping device and imprisons people, both innocents and guilty, by sentencing them to eternal life. They are sent into the future where time has no meaning, frozen forever, aware and alert but unable to move or act in any way. The anti-hero of the story, with the help of some others, secretely sabotages the time warping device then intentionally gets himself arrested and sent through it. The sabotaged device sends him to the future but with the freezing process compromised so that he can escape. He releases the other prisoners, some who have been there for hundreds of years.

The timeless future has different properties and people there are seemingly able to generate physical matter at will. Unfortunately, some of the prisoners have lost their minds after several hundred years of imprisonment and attack the others, leading to a loss of life. Others succumb to uncontrolled time anamolies, and seemingly vanish forever. The remaining people band together and attempt to make something resembling a society.

Some prisoners continue to arrive to the timeless future, but eventually this stops as the advanced society realizes the time warping device has been sabotaged. The society then sends deadly enforcers to attack the future. This causes a long battle of attrition. Eventually, the future people build a device to go to the past and retaliate against the advanced society. Their attacks are swift and bruital, with many civilians caught in the crossfire.
